Treasury Expert

We seek an accomplished Treasury Specialist to oversee liquidity management, funding operations, and FX positions ensuring seamless treasury performance and adherence to MAS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage branch liquidity, funding, and foreign exchange (FX) positions for optimal cash flow and financial stability.
  • Maintain and optimize short-term liquidity and cash flow management strategies.
  • Oversee FX position monitoring and management.
  • Coordinate funding activities and negotiations with financial institutions.
  • Conduct thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews on counterparties to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain required liquidity ratios in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Execute interbank transactions in Money Market, FX, and Securities markets.
  • Ensure precise and timely execution of trades while minimizing risk exposure.
  • Administer treasury transactions in full compliance with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and internal banking regulations and policies.
  • Prepare and submit necessary reports to stakeholders and support MAS-related treasury reporting.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of treasury experience, with a focus on Money Market instruments and derivatives, and secondary exposure to FX and securities.
  • In-depth understanding of short-term cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Possession of relevant CMFAS certifications to perform FX Forward transactions in a Wholesale Banking environment.
  • Familiarity with MAS regulations governing treasury activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., using formulas to create and manage cash flow sheets and reports).
  • Baseline knowledge of Excel VBA programming (preferred).
  • Experience using Bloomberg terminals (preferred).
