Logistics Automation Leadership Opportunity

  • We are seeking a Director of Logistics Automation to lead our digital transformation, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of our operations.

About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics technology leader to transform the future of our ready-mix operations. As the Director of Logistics Automation & Digital Supply Chain, you will be responsible for developing and executing a 3-year automation roadmap, aligned with IMDA's Digital Leaders Programme.

You will lead the implementation of various automation initiatives, including plant & yard automation, WMS, TMS, and real-time mobile apps. Additionally, you will build a logistics data lake to support forecasting, CO2 tracking, and performance analytics.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing a 3-year automation roadmap.
  • Leading plant & yard automation initiatives.
  • Implementing WMS, TMS, and real-time mobile apps.
  • Building a logistics data lake.
  • Driving LEAN and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Managing vendor contracts and project budgets.
  • Leading a high-performing digital supply-chain team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related field (MBA/MSc preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in logistics automation or smart factory projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA/IoT integration, cloud systems, and LEAN practices.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's WSH, ISO systems, and IMDA grant processes is preferred.

Success Metrics

In the first 12-18 months, we expect you to achieve the following metrics:

  • ≥70% truck loads automated via RFID gates.
  • ≥25% reduction in loading cycle time.
  • ≥10% cost reduction per m3 delivered.
  • ≥95% data captured in central system.
  • 100% CO2 tracking coverage across mixes.
  • ≥5× team payroll in validated CI savings.
