What the role is: The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) is a new government agency established to oversee Singapore's communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. In this role, you will be leading the development and implementation of the public health informatics strategy, to enhance the ability of the CDA to monitor, respond to, and prevent communicable diseases. You will be required to work in a fast‐paced and dynamic environment that will require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. What you will be working on: You will lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT systems and data interfaces crucial for communicable disease surveillance, operations, and response. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable system specifications, ensuring the systems align with public health goals. Collaborate with IT vendors and external partners to build and maintain IT systems, including data interfaces. Ensure that all systems and data flows provide accurate, timely, and reliable information to support operational and outbreak response decision-making. Lead efforts to optimise system performance and ensure that IT systems remain scalable, secure, and responsive to evolving public health needs. Envision solutions, opportunities and applications of new digital technologies to enhance communicable disease surveillance. What we are looking for: Minimally a recognised tertiary qualification preferably Master's degree in health science, public health, epidemiology or related field. At least 4 years of work experience in public health. At least 2 years in a leadership role. Agile and analytical mindset. Keen eye for detail. Precautionary attitude. Resilient and flexible under pressure. Good communication and inter-personal skill. Strong stakeholder management experience. About Ministry of Health The Ministry of Health's (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people – to live well, live long and with peace of mind. As an open country constantly exposed to an interconnected world, Singapore faces complex issues in public healthcare. MOH constantly grapples with new challenges brought on by an increasingly globalised world, a rapidly ageing population and rising expectations. MOH's responses to these challenges include preventing and managing the outbreak of diseases such as SARS and Influenza A (H1N1), designing a healthcare system that delivers care in an integrated and effective manner, growing the capacity and capabilities within the sector, and managing healthcare inflation. As an MOH officer, you will be involved in formulating and implementing policies that guide Singapore's healthcare ecosystem. You will work alongside a team with varied skills and backgrounds, but with the common goals of (i) promoting good health and reducing illnesses; (ii) ensuring that Singaporeans have access to good and affordable healthcare; and (iii) pursuing medical excellence. Your work will have far-reaching impact on the health and lives of Singaporeans. #J-18808-Ljbffr
