DESIGNATION
Editor, Current Affairs (Content Commissioning) 1-Year Contract
RESPONSIBILITIES
CNA is known for its distinctive documentaries and current affairs programmes. The Commissioning Editor will work with the commissioning team to ensure the creation and management of innovative and high-quality content with our production partners.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with production partners to ensure content requirements are clearly articulated and communicated, this includes finessing concepts, scripts and programme offlines/online.
Track content delivery along various production stages to meet timeline milestones.
Ensure content meets various platform needs (including linear and digital), with high standards in originality, engagement, innovativeness and distribution potential.
Brainstorm with production partners on the suitable non-linear assets for promotional and engagement purposes and timely delivery of such materials.
Identify suitable content submissions for international awards and recognition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
Degree either in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies or Arts & Social Sciences.
8-10 years of production and editorial experience.
Strong writing skills with the ability to edit and re-organise content where necessary.
Ability to prioritize tasks especially when handling multiple projects.
Time management skills to meet deadlines with various deliverables.
Effectively convey information, ideas, and instructions to individuals or groups.
Openness to ideas and the desire to continuously learn and develop new skills.
