Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction project team, you will be responsible for managing costs, developing budgets, and ensuring compliance with specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage costs and develop detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.

  • Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.

  • Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.

  • Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

  • Collaborate closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.

  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.

  • Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.

  • Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.

Requirements

  • A diploma or bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management is required.

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial).

  • Proficiency in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration is essential.

  • Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) is desirable.

  • Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards) is required.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients, suppliers, and contractors is preferred.
