Technical Consultant

Overview
Technical Consultant - DevOps Engineering role requiring Go/Golang, Python, and Terraform expertise. Candidate should have hands-on experience deploying automation scripts on EC2 Instances and EKS clusters, a deep understanding of AWS services (IAM, SCPs, RCPs), and the ability to write custom scripts that connect various APIs to AWS services. The role involves creating secure, least-privilege IAM policies using Policy Sentry API, integrating with Terraform Platform APIs, and deploying automation scripts and APIs on EKS or EC2. The position is based in Singapore and requires the right to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities
Develop automation scripts and APIs to run on EKS clusters and/or EC2 instances.
Write custom scripts to connect different internal APIs to AWS services.
Implement secure, least-privilege IAM policies using Policy Sentry API.
Integrate with Terraform Platform APIs to create IAM Roles and Policies (e.g., using endpoints like POST /modules and GET /workspaces).
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and present solutions.
Deploy automation solutions that scale and meet client needs.
Technical Skills
Cloud Native Stack: Deep experience with AWS, especially IAM, roles, groups, and permissions inside an enterprise environment.
Automation: Proficient with APIs, CLIs, SDKs; strong troubleshooting and automation implementation capabilities.
Solution Design: Ability to design and implement optimized solutions aligned with business needs.
Cloud Technologies: Understanding of cloud-native technologies and hybrid cloud environments.
Databases: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Problem Solving: Ability to solve complex business problems with scalable solutions.
OS and Networking: Advanced knowledge of OS and networking concepts.
Deployment: Experience deploying automation services on EKS or EC2.
Coding / Development
Experience in Go/Golang, Python, and Terraform; ability to write integrations connecting APIs within AWS.
Additional Capabilities
Proactive solutioning with clear reviews; ability to clarify requirements and engage with stakeholders.
Strong client-facing and relationship management skills to support client outcomes.
Qualifications
Work Experience: At least 7 years in DevOps or SRE roles with a proven track record.
Cloud Migration: Hands-on experience migrating projects to cloud environments.
Large-Scale Environments: Experience managing environments with 100k+ users and large data volumes.
Technical Proficiency: Terraform, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, GitLab CI/CD, cloud networking, SQL & NoSQL databases, Kafka, and observability (O11y).
Deployment: Experience deploying automation scripts to EC2 and/or EKS.
Configuration Management: Proficiency with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Puppet.
IAM and Access Management: Strong familiarity with RCPs/SCPs/IAM; experience with Smart Least Privilege logic to auto-create secure policies.
API Integrations: Write custom scripts to connect APIs to AWS services and to integrate with Terraform Platform APIs.
Certifications: Required Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS; Preferred GCP/Azure or other cloud certifications.
Industry Experience: Strong DevOps/SRE background with excellent communication and strategic capability.
