Description Job Title: Financial Accountant / AssistantFinancial Accountant Location: Singapore, Harbourfront Reporting to: Financial Controller Supervise: Financial Executive (AP & AR) Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Financial Accountant to manage the full set of accounts in accordance with the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing supporting schedules, and maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial records. The role also includes supervision and guidance of a Finance Executive responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Manage the full set of accounts in compliance with SFRS. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Prepare detailed supporting schedules and reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L accounts. Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closings. Liaise with auditors as required. Fixed Assets & Depreciation Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) . Prepare depreciation and amortisation schedules in accordance with accounting policies. Oversee capitalisation and disposal of assets, ensuring proper documentation and accounting treatment. Accounts Receivable & Payable Oversight Supervise and provide guidance to the Finance Executive (AR/AP) to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and payments. Review aging reports, monitor outstanding balances, and support credit control activities. Ensure proper reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts. Taxation Reporting Supervises Financial Executive in quarterly GST filing and record keeping. Internal Controls & Compliance Ensure adherence to internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Accountancy , Finance , or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA). At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably in Singapore. Solid knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) . Hands‑on experience in preparing full sets of accounts and supporting schedules . Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent communication and supervisory skills. Experience in Corporate Taxation and Management Accounting Reporting will be an advantage . Personal Attributes Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently. Strong sense of responsibility and integrity. Able to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
