As part of an infrastructure team, ensure smooth operations that conform to the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and stay within the budgeted capital and operational expenses.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Establish ITSM standards, processes, and guidelines aligned with industry standards and best practices.
Provide technical leadership to team members.
Offer technical consultancy to customers on system performance, integration, and configuration matters.
Assist the Service Delivery Manager in managing daily operations.
Possess SME-level hands-on knowledge in shell, Perl, Python, or PowerShell.
Analyze system performance and recommend optimizations.
Ensure high availability of the production environment according to business needs and SLAs.
Lead Root Cause Analysis for all high-severity issues; collaborate with multiple teams for resolution.
Review incident reports.
Participate in planning and executing upgrades/patching of middleware software.
Provide SME support for issues, security threats, and vulnerabilities related to middleware.
Participate in establishing and testing disaster recovery policies across all middleware environments.
Ensure compliance with change and release management processes.
Develop technical documentation and procedures for monitoring and performance.
Provide regular project updates to SDM and perform other duties as assigned.
Lead problem diagnosis for system errors or malfunctions, working with application teams or vendors.
Conduct capacity studies to analyze current resource utilization and forecast future needs.
Monitor systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Maintain and update technical documentation.
Support audits for certifications and contractual requirements.
Stay informed about technological advancements and emerging standards.
Work in a 24x7 standby support environment.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in end-to-end operations management, including configuring, upgrading, and resolving issues related to Wintel infrastructures such as Windows Servers, OS clustering, Hyper-V, VMware, IIS, BizTalk, and related products, as well as cloud services like AWS and MS Azure.
Specialization in one major product: Microsoft, VMware, AWS, or MS Azure.
Hands-on experience with Windows systems, OS clustering, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Microsoft middleware, e.g., IIS administration and configuration.
Experience managing large-scale virtualized environments with technologies like VMware ESX or Microsoft HyperV.
Good understanding of ITIL, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001 standards.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
Relevant certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, AWS/Microsoft Azure cloud certifications, and ITIL v3 are required.
Desired certifications include RedHat Enterprise Linux.
Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Wintel, Windows Servers, OS clustering, Hyper-V, and VMware virtualization.
