About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Wintel Engineer
to join our client. In this role, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workplace Management solutions, including endpoint deployment, patch management, and cloud infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about systems efficiency, process automation, and modern workplace technology.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, test, and maintain endpoint hardware and software (OS, drivers, applications, updates, and hotfixes).
Plan, implement, and support patch management and software distribution services.
Design, deploy, and manage AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
Collaborate with development teams to implement cloud-native applications.
Automate infrastructure management using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and network connectivity issues in AWS or Azure environments.
Administer workplace management tools including PC imaging, Citrix VDI, and SCCM.
Perform quality assurance testing and manage escalations related to endpoint management tools.
Develop and maintain documentation and operational reports.
Contribute to streamlining daily operational processes through automation.
Support disaster recovery strategies and maintain business continuity plans.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and group policy management.
Proven expertise with Workplace Management Tools (e.g., HCL BigFix, Microsoft SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink).
Strong experience in PC imaging deployment, software distribution, and patch management.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure.
Familiarity in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Strong understanding with networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
Scripting skills (Python, Shell, or similar).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git version control.
Relevant certifications in AWS or Azure are a plus.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
