Job Description

As an Intern Merchandiser within our Sales Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting sales and merchandising activities to drive product visibility and customer engagement across various retail locations in Singapore. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced merchandisers, develop key skills in retail operations, and gain exposure to the fast-paced FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management & Merchandising

• Replenish stocks to maintain product visibility and availability in stores.
• Retrieve dairy products from the chiller room for timely display.
• Ensure all products, information, and promotional materials are presented according to company guidelines.

Visual Merchandising & Brand Promotion

• Implement and optimize placement of Point-of-Sales Materials (POSM) at strategic in-store locations to maximize brand visibility.
• Actively promote products during events, roadshows, and in-store activations to engage customers and drive sales.

Outlet & Relationship Management

• Negotiate with outlets for optimal space rental arrangements to enhance product placement.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned outlets to ensure smooth collaboration.

Sales Operations & Administrative Support

• Attend bi-monthly sales meetings at the office.
• Travel daily between multiple stores within a designated geographical cluster.
• Support ad hoc sales activities and perform other tasks as assigned by the sales department.

Learning & Development Opportunities

• Receive hands-on experience in retail store merchandising and brand initiatives.
• Develop practical skills and industry insights in the FMCG and wholesale retail trade sectors.
• Specialize in the merchandising of confectionery and snack products, learning effective product placement and promotional strategies.
• Work closely with senior merchandisers and seasoned sales professionals.

Working Hours & Benefits

• 5-day work week, typically from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Two weekday rest days (weekends are generally working days).
• Weekend shifts required, with hours generally within standard daytime ranges.
• Public holidays off, except when special events are scheduled.
• Monthly internship allowance: SGD 900.
• Transport reimbursement: Up to SGD 128 per month (with valid receipts).
• Mobile phone reimbursement: Up to SGD 50 per month (with valid receipts)
