As an Intern Merchandiser within our Sales Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting sales and merchandising activities to drive product visibility and customer engagement across various retail locations in Singapore. This hands-on internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced merchandisers, develop key skills in retail operations, and gain exposure to the fast-paced FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management & Merchandising: Replenish stocks to maintain product visibility and availability in stores.
Retrieve dairy products from the chiller room for timely display.
Ensure all products, information, and promotional materials are presented according to company guidelines.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Promotion: Implement and optimize placement of Point-of-Sales Materials (POSM) at strategic in-store locations to maximize brand visibility.
Actively promote products during events, roadshows, and in-store activations to engage customers and drive sales.
Outlet & Relationship Management: Negotiate with outlets for optimal space rental arrangements to enhance product placement.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned outlets to ensure smooth collaboration.
Sales Operations & Administrative Support: Attend bi-monthly sales meetings at the office.
Travel daily between multiple stores within a designated geographical cluster.
Support ad hoc sales activities and perform other tasks as assigned by the sales department.
Learning & Development Opportunities: Receive hands-on experience in retail store merchandising and brand initiatives.
Develop practical skills and industry insights in the FMCG and wholesale retail trade sectors.
Specialize in the merchandising of confectionery and snack products, learning effective product placement and promotional strategies.
Work closely with senior merchandisers and seasoned sales professionals.
Working Hours & Benefits
5-day work week, typically from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Two weekday rest days (weekends are generally working days).
Weekend shifts required, with hours generally within standard daytime ranges.
Public holidays off, except when special events are scheduled.
Monthly internship allowance: SGD 900.
Transport reimbursement: Up to SGD 128 per month (with valid receipts).
Mobile phone reimbursement: Up to SGD 50 per month (with valid receipts).
