Research Associate (Psychology/Sociology/Education) page is loaded## Research Associate (Psychology/Sociology/Education)locations: NTU Main Campus, Singaporetime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore ( ) seeks applicants with a Masters degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education or or related field from University of good standing for a Research Associate Position.**Key Responsibilities:*** Overseeing the day-to-day operations of research project on vertical leadership development for school leadership professional development* Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from schools and project collaborators.* Conduct literature reviews and preparing policy reports for stakeholders.* Preparation and updating of ethics documents to Institutional Review Board.* Participant recruitment.* Data collection through interviews over three time-points, together with PI and research team.* Data collection through field observations and document analysis, together with PI and research team.* Perform data analysis and manage data analysis pipelines under supervision of PI and contracting school division.* Perform research-related administrative work, such as purchase of material/equipment for research.* Carry any other duties as required by Principal Investigator**Job Requirements:*** Masters in Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field from University of good standing.* Possess excellent communication skills with good command of the English language to perform literature reviews and write progress reports.* Self-motivator, able to work independently to collect data, analyse data, and communicate findings.* Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Nvivo software.* Willing to travel to school sites for data collection.* Excellent organizational skills and able to work within tight deadlines.* Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.* Prior experience with qualitative research methods* Prior teaching experience at MOE schools is a bonus.* Prior experience with academic publication processes* Good knowledge of qualitative research methods, and knowledge/appreciation for leadership and management theories.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTUNTU is also home to world-class autonomous institutes – the National Institute of Education, S Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Earth Observatory of Singapore, and Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering – and various leading research centres such as the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) and Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ).Ranked amongst the world’s top universities by QS, NTU has also been named the world’s top young university for the past seven years.
