The position equips the Group with relevant market information in order to define the effective path to act as a strategic partner and support growth in the two regions. The objective is to better position Thales offering and take part in BLs product policy. Promote a customer centric approach and deliver compelling value propositions.
With a clear understanding of the business environment, the position will work closely with the Regions countries’ heads and key internal stakeholders, to formulate and drive execution of the strategic plan to grow Thales in the Regions, organically and through partnerships. In addition, the position will be tasked with supporting the Key Account Management practice (account planning, set-up account marketing etc).
Roles & Responsibilities
Strategy
Formulates 5-year regional/country strategic plans, with clear understanding of the economic and industrial trends of the market (including customer needs and competitor offerings) in order to secure Thales’ position and growth in the market.
Evaluates the accessible market for each product line, identifies growth opportunities, organic and inorganic, and prepares report/recommendations for management review/action.
Identifies, in close coordination with sales team, the relevant go-to-market strategy in order to increase the probability of winning.
Contributes in promoting the region’s markets within the Group to attract Global Business Unit (GBU) and exporting units’ interest and to grow their local presence.
Manages interfaces with GBUs and exporting units that have business stakes in the country to contribute to their strategic business plans including industrial localisation and corresponding action plans.
Brings operational support for the delivery of strategic actions such as partnerships, mergers & acquisitions etc. Lead or co-lead specific actions, where applicable, in coordination with other Group units and functions.
Manages country reporting to Group Corporate and GBUs, and channels feedback to country management.
Marketing
Makes use of business intelligence data on a market segment or geographical organisation.
Supports promotion actions to KAMs and sales forces during the upstream opportunity phase, up to the designation of a capture leader.
Understands customer mission, operational environment and priorities, broadens their understanding of Thales solutions in connection with their missions, and provides customer/market information to the marketing function.
In conjunction with the KAMs and the sales force, contributes to defining the best solution (product/system/service) addressing customer needs during the upstream opportunity phase. Facilitates the value proposition pitch development.
Supports the marketing, business development and commercial teams for the promotion and marketing activities.
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Business Administration from a reputed university.
10 to 15 years working experience with preferably a successful experience in a large consulting firm and/or industry.
Hands-on and results oriented.
Business acumen with strategic mindset.
Autonomous, curious and proactive with strategic mindset.
Well organized and rigorous.
Experience of delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
Very open and teamwork oriented.
