Procurement Sustainability Specialist at ABB
As the Procurement Sustainability Specialist at ABB, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sustainability strategy of the Smart Buildings Division within the Procurement function. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing sustainable procurement initiatives, analyzing sustainability data, and fostering a sustainable mindset both internally and with suppliers. By collaborating with procurement teams at various levels and engaging with external stakeholders, you will contribute to the exploration and execution of sustainability projects. Your role will be instrumental in promoting sustainability within the organization and supply chain, setting an example for others to follow.
The work model for this role is a combination of onsite and hybrid, and you will be contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings Procurement Function on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement sustainability-focused procurement initiatives at Division and local levels.
Collect, analyze, and report sustainability and CO2 emissions data from suppliers using relevant tools and platforms.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of sustainability priorities and initiatives.
Promote and encourage a sustainable mindset across the organization and with suppliers.
Prepare and deliver detailed sustainability reports, tracking key metrics and progress.
Assist in coordinating sustainability-related events, meetings, and webinars with suppliers.
Represent Procurement in working groups dedicated to implementing new sustainability regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Strong passion for sustainability and a desire to integrate sustainable practices into procurement and supply chain processes.
Previous experience or internships in procurement, sustainability, or supply chain management, ideally within the building automation or related industry.
Excellent analytical skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
