SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a Joint Venture between NXP and TSMC. We offer flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication solutions by maintaining fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment, 100% equipment automation and proven wafer-manufacturing processes.We're searching for a Principal Engineer to be part of our IT Department diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to project management, Engineering Analytic Systems Software development, Design and Support.Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex software projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. Architect, build, and maintain scalable data lakehouse solutions using modern data platforms. Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models, including generative AI, for business optimization and smart analytics. Demonstrate effective crisis management skills, resolving critical issues under tight timelines and high-pressure situations Mentor and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth. Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and provide technical guidance. Promote continuous improvement in processes, tools, and technologies. Ensure best practices in software development, deployment, and documentation. Provide support for internal IT and external customers as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) will be advantageous. 5+ years of experience in software engineering and project management. Proven hands-on experience in building and managing data lakehouse architectures Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and generative AI technologies. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo). Familiarity with engineering data analytic such as APC, SPC, FDC or yield management systems and manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or smart factory environments. Excellent troubleshooting and crisis management skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proven people management and leadership capabilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
