Engineer / Lead Engineer, Applied Vision AI R&D, S&S CoE at HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency).

What You Will Be Working On
Develop/train machine learning / deep learning AI models or large/multi-modal models to address Home Team use cases
Handle data pre-processing and annotation for model training and development
Collaborate with software engineers to write production-quality code and deploy computer vision solutions for Home Team on Cloud Platform (GCC) or local machines
Work with Product Management to translate product requirements into ML model requirements
Continuously optimise performance of in-house AI solutions via hyperparameter tuning, improve run-time efficiency, and reduce computational costs
Document and communicate deep learning model design to technical stakeholders
Provide technical advisory and review related technical articles to support business and project decisions
Keep abreast of new AI technologies and continually improve HTxAI’s AI engineering capability
Collaborate with external partners to co-develop novel AI solutions or enhance existing in-house solutions
Learn and share knowledge in a multi-disciplinary team internally and externally
What We Are Looking For
Undergraduate / Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant areas
4-5 years of Software Engineering experience with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in AI model training and application; Python experience strongly preferred
Experience with open-source frameworks such as OpenCV, PyTorch and TensorFlow
Experience with Vision-AI models or knowledge of Large models is preferred
Ability to develop AI applications and deploy via Docker containers with RESTful APIs
Bash and PowerShell scripting on Linux
Practical experience with cloud environments
Ability to work with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary / multi-agency teams
Strong communication and demonstration skills for stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds
Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and trends
Self-motivated, team player, creative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently
Domain knowledge in Homeland Security is a plus
Applicants with more than 5 years' relevant experience will be considered for more senior positions
All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed for permanent tenure based on performance
