Job Title: Chief Governance Officer

Roles & Responsibilities

As a key member of the management team, the Chief Governance Officer will oversee junior staff and manage a portfolio of companies consisting of local and multinational corporations.

  • Supervising 1-2 junior staff and managing a portfolio of companies.
  • Handling the full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties, including incorporation, preparation of directors' resolutions, minutes of board and shareholder meetings, AGM, and striking off documents.
  • Preparing and filing relevant documents with regulatory bodies via digital platforms.
  • Attending client meetings to discuss their needs and provide expert advice.
  • Conducting client due diligence to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating work pass applications for clients' expatriate staff.
  • Reviewing financial statements in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Member of the Company Secretaries International Society (CSIS) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in corporate secretarial services.
  • Meticulous, organized, and proactive individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Initiative, responsibility, and strong teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
