Job Title: Chief Risk Governance Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our risk management efforts and ensure the integrity of our business operations. As Chief Risk Governance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring credit and market risks, implementing timely mitigation actions, and reviewing and enhancing risk management policies and frameworks.

  • Lead and supervise a team in monitoring credit and market risks, ensuring consistency with internal risk appetite and credit policies.
  • Review and enhance risk management policies, frameworks, and system workflows in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Review and approve credit applications for retail, high-net-worth, and institutional clients, ensuring consistency with internal risk appetite and credit policies.
  • Evaluate core business processes to identify potential risk exposures and recommend robust control measures.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and due diligence on new product launches and business initiatives, working closely with development teams to automate risk controls through system integration.
  • Provide risk advisory support to business units, embedding risk considerations into strategic and operational decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in securities and derivatives risk management, preferably within a brokerage firm.
  • Strong proficiency in margin financing and derivatives products, including futures contracts, stocks & index options, and options on futures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of MAS and SGX regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with international markets such as the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and China Connect is a plus.
