The Company Our client is a global leader in the renewable energy sector , we are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join their APAC headquarters in Singapore. Our client is at the forefront of the energy transition, developing and operating large-scale solar and energy storage projects across the region. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Design Engineer to take a leading role in the technical design of high-profile solar power projects, from initial concept to final implementation. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, your expertise will be the cornerstone of project success, ensuring all solar systems are optimized for performance and compliant with the highest standards. In this role, you will be responsible for: Technical Design & Engineering: Leading the design and engineering review process for all project documentation, developing electrical single-line diagrams, performing detailed DC/AC calculations, and preparing performance modeling reports using PVSyst. Project & Stakeholder Collaboration: Serving as a key technical advisor to project managers during installation and commissioning, and collaborating with internal teams and external EPCs to ensure seamless system integration. Regulatory Compliance & Approvals: Managing and preparing all design submissions to relevant authorities, working closely with Professional Engineers (PEs) and Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs) to secure all necessary endorsements. The Ideal Candidate will have: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering. A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the design and engineering of solar PV systems. In-depth knowledge of solar technologies and familiarity with local building codes and engineering standards.
