What the role is: We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division responsible for planning vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention, and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does and requires close partnership and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders. What you will be working on: Manage the procurement for operational supplies and equipment in accordance with procurement policies and procedures Track and monitor budget utilisation, prepare regular reports and forecasts to ensure optimal resource allocation Perform inventory management to ensure sufficient stock level, and liaising with vendor to ensure timely delivery of goods and servicing of equipment Provide administrative support for internal and external programmes (e.g. scheduling of routine medical screening for Vector Control officers and tracking their attendance, system access rights reviews)Manage, clean and compile inspection findings and enforcement data for subsequent reporting Carry out process review by identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline administrative workflows What we are looking for: Experience in administrative work, within a public health or environmental setting, would be advantageous Have a passion for environmental public health, particularly in the control of vector-borne diseases Have good analytical reasoning, organised with good time management to deliver routine and time sensitive work promptly Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (e.g. pivot tables, macros)Meticulous, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Highly self-motivated, and a team player with strong interpersonal skills Possess a positive mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving Committed and willing to work outside office hours for time sensitive work that may arise from time to time About National Environment Agency The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
