Job Title: Infrastructure Systems Specialist

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our critical on-premises platforms and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support multiple layers of infrastructure, including compute, storage, and virtualization platforms.
  • Implement automation tools and best practices to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Manage and optimize the performance of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and capacity monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring/observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Execute patching strategies and leverage automation to minimize disruptions and ensure security.
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for incidents, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Support containerization initiatives and manage container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning and configuration (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Develop and maintain backup, DR, and high-availability solutions for critical components.
  • Collaborate with application teams for stability, performance, and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
  • Hands-on experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server administration.
  • Skilled in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
