Job Overview

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of clinical services, ensuring day-to-day administrative duties and strategic development of programs for vulnerable children/youth and their families.

  • Ensure accurate assessments of individual needs by carrying out thorough evaluations in areas of family capacity, emotional stability, peer relations, and community profile.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans within established guidelines, prioritizing evidence-based therapies and interventions.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, providing direct support when needed, while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation detailing service plans, outcome measures, community contacts, and referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, employing safe and effective counseling modalities to address behavioral, emotional, and thinking issues.
  • Ensure confidential materials are properly secured and maintained, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
  • Document case records accurately, including personal information, reports, and session details.
  • Flexibly adapt working hours to meet program needs and client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members and stakeholders to ensure holistic support for clients.

Managerial Responsibilities

Supervise and develop teams, including interns, clinicians, counselors, and youth workers, through regular training and feedback sessions.

  • Provide in-house training to enhance BT clinical staff skills and knowledge.
  • Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reports, analyzing key performance indicators and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Evaluate the relevance of current clinical services and suggest new initiatives to Directors.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for 4K services SOPs, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Explore potential grant opportunities with Directors and manage associated requirements.
  • Represent BT at external functions, upholding management positions and promoting the organization's mission.

Organizational Expectations

Collaborate actively in fundraising activities, supporting Boys' Town's endeavors and commitments.

  • Engage closely with other staff members, departments, and components of Boys' Town to achieve shared goals.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, or related specialist fields.
  • Registration with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
  • Registered Supervisor status with SAC.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Experience working with children and young people (CYP) and their families.
  • Expertise in evidence-based therapies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Humility, emotional maturity, empathy, and self-reflexivity in working with clients and multiple stakeholders.
  • Energy, dynamism, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong commitment to professional ethics and integrity.
