Doehle Shipmanagement Pte. Ltd. is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Superintendent. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing a fleet of container vessels, ensuring their efficient technical operation. The candidate will report directly to the Fleet Manager.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Ensure that your assigned vessels are technically operational and managed within the approved budget, in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Collaborate closely with colleagues from the Crewing, IT, and Purchase Departments to ensure smooth vessel operations.
Monitor and manage vessel budgets, including requisitions and approvals.
Coordinate with Fleet Controlling to meet OPEX and Dry Docking budgets.
Liaise with Classification Societies, Flag State Administrations, and regulatory bodies to ensure vessel compliance.
Handle claims and insurance cases with care, providing technical expertise and documentation as needed.
Work with the QHSE/Marine Department on safety and security matters onboard your ships.
Preferable qualifications and requirements
A motivated, proactive individual eager to support operations.
Technical experience at sea as a Chief Engineer, followed by several years as a Technical Superintendent ashore.
Ability to evaluate and monitor complex technical operations of ships trading globally.
A responsible, structured team player committed to company values and transparent communication.
Fluent in written and spoken English to communicate effectively within a multinational team and with vessel crew.
