Footwear Technical & Quality Manager, India
As the Footwear Technical & Quality Manager, your primary responsibility will be to implement, manage, and promote quality systems within the company. You will utilize various tools and methodologies based on national, international, or company standards to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Your role involves establishing requirements and objectives, preparing necessary documents, analyzing complaints, and coordinating corrective and preventive measures. Effective internal and external communication to meet customer demands will be a key focus area. Additionally, you will define instruments for monitoring and controlling quality systems, participate in internal auditing, and ensure compliance with quality standards.This role is based in Agra and is a hybrid position that reports to the Global Quality Director/Sourcing Director of India. Your duties will encompass overseeing quality specifications of materials, processes, and final products in footwear production. You will be responsible for identifying common defects in footwear, conducting quick and laboratory tests, and ensuring the use of appropriate equipment for quality checks. Providing support for footwear manufacturing processes and ensuring adherence to quality assurance frameworks and standards will be crucial aspects of your role.Your expertise will be pivotal in applying quality control techniques to footwear and leather goods. This includes analyzing materials, components, or models based on relevant quality criteria, comparing them to set standards, conducting visual inspections, and managing warehouse inventory. You will collaborate with suppliers, conduct laboratory tests when necessary, and implement corrective measures as required.As a seasoned professional with over 15 years of footwear production experience, you will leverage your knowledge to lead a team effectively. Problem-solving skills will be essential as you identify issues, prioritize tasks, and implement solutions. Your ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information to enhance current practices will drive continuous improvement in quality management.The ideal candidate for this role will possess a university or college degree, or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a leadership role and a deep understanding of footwear production processes are highly desirable. Your commitment to upholding quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence will be instrumental in the success of our quality management initiatives.,
