Senior Technical Manager

Roles & Responsibilities Lead and manage the complete software development lifecycle—including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and support—for assigned applications. Serve as the Technical Manager overseeing the quality of team deliverables, ensuring adherence to established SDLC methodologies, tools, and standards, while planning system enhancements and upgrades to meet project goals within budget and timelines. Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional application teams and related platforms to handle technical interdependencies, and develop detailed technical implementation plans to ensure seamless production cutover and sufficient post-deployment support. Work closely with System Analysts, Business Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts to gather, analyze, and finalize both functional and technical requirements. Collaborate with development managers to guide application teams in delivering enhancements, and coordinate with test managers to ensure quality completion of SIT, UAT, performance, and security testing. Identify, monitor, and manage technical risks and issues, providing regular updates to the Project Manager. Contribute technical inputs during the specification phase, including effort estimations and high-level delivery planning based on impact assessments. Promptly escalate project schedule risks and issues, propose effective workarounds or solutions, and ensure timely communication and reporting to senior stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with at least 10 years of IT Project Management experience, particularly within the financial services industry and payments domain. Proven leadership experience in managing IT delivery teams and overseeing the successful implementation of large-scale projects. Strong background in system development , with hands-on experience preparing functional and technical specifications and leading system development initiatives. Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Excel, and Visio. Solid understanding and hands-on experience with software development methodologies, including both Waterfall and Agile best practices . Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system thinking abilities, with the ability to synthesize information and design effective solutions. Effective negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor-led projects. Prior experience in vendor product management is an added advantage.
