Join to apply for the Lead Commissioning Engineer role at One Seven Consulting We are hiring a Lead Commissioning Engineer for our client in the marine industry. This role will lead the end-to-end commissioning of ICT, telecom, and navigational systems for offshore platforms, vessels, and facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety protocols. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise commissioning activities for ICT, telecom, and navigational systems across offshore platforms, vessels, and related facilities. Develop commissioning strategies, FAT/SAT procedures, and test plans in alignment with client requirements and classification society rules. Manage the commissioning process for telecommunication systems and ensure integration with platform automation and control systems. Collaborate with vendors, construction contractors, and client teams to install, configure, and test systems. Oversee interface management between subsystems for smooth integration. Review, validate, and maintain commissioning records and ensure compliance with HSE guidelines, cybersecurity requirements, and technical standards. Prepare handover packages, deliver as‐built records, configuration backups, and training to client or operations teams. Resolve punch‐list issues and finalize commissioning deliverables for telecom and ICT packages. Supervise commissioning teams in onshore and offshore environments, track progress, and provide updates to project management. Troubleshoot complex ICT and telecom network issues during integration and testing. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, or ICT Engineering. 7–10 years of commissioning experience in the marine or offshore oil & gas sector. Strong expertise in telecommunications, navigational systems, and ICT network infrastructure. Proficiency in IP addressing, VLAN setup, network security, and industrial communication protocols. Familiarity with offshore industry standards and safety requirements; BOSIET/HUET certification preferred. Practical experience with FAT, SAT, and on‐site commissioning processes.
