Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Snr Data analyst Material Library
to be a team member of the Materials Library function that services VF FW & EQ brands in material creation, management and governance. The Snr Data analyst, Material Library will be responsible for materials selection analysis and standardlizing library processes across VF FW & EQ brands. You will collaborate closely with the Materials Sourcing and Brand teams on implementing material selection processes that enable VF brands to leverage a consolidated materials library. This role requires a strong data analysis background and knowledge in material sciences / footwear materials along with basic project management capabilities. This role is instrumental in driving efficiency, enabling material leverage across regions and optimising material spend.
Responsibilities
Drive seasonal material utilization efficiency, analyzing data and actively presenting insights to senior brands and material sourcing stakeholders to adopt scale and improve cross-brand leverage
Lead new material development data analysis with brand teams, building a framework to consider alternative recommendations with trade-offs in cost and development outlined
Own material library data quality metrics, actively working with material suppliers to close data gaps and regularly run audits reports to validate accuracy
Develop and implement material library curation process as milestones in the go-to market / product development calendar, working closely with brand teams to ensure SOP is followed and efficient
Manage physical and digital material library assets, ensuring assets are updated and brand teams have access at each milestone, coordinating between material sourcing teams and suppliers
Actively optimize material library curation process for efficiency, building business cases for integration with design tools / new applications etc.
Create and execute clear communication materials to internal (Material sourcing and Brand) and external (Suppliers) stakeholders to influence behavior change and achieve business needs
Plan and execute material library related projects (e.g. materials consolidation, cost saving initiatives) coordinating with stakeholders to ensure progress adherence
Lead ad-hoc any material data related requests as required (e.g. corporate level, material count / usage related reporting)
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in a footwear company and/or product development function
Undergraduate degree in Quantitative/STEM field
Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Strong Proficiency in at least one data processing tool (e.g. Excel VBA / Power query, Knime, Alteryx)
Basic proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
Clear communication skills, both verbally and written
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
Good stakeholder management
