Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) incorporated in 2000, is a wholly-owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It is created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It also aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the library operations, ensuring that the library is well-maintained and in order Assist patrons and relevant stakeholders in answering queries and doing research Assist in handling and analysing patrons' feedback and suggestions Producing reports and updates as required Develop, review and update library policies and procedures, including cataloguing processes Curate book displays Write book reviews and create marketing posters Plan programmes for the library as required Lead a team, including supervising and assigning tasks to library staff Led and oversee library projects Basic / Good understanding of digitisation Networking and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders to promote usage of the library Create training materials for new hirers as and when needed Key Requirements & Qualifications Good grasp of Microsoft apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Candidate should possess a recognised degree, preferably with a qualification in Library & Information Sciences or equivalent Must have at least 3 years of experience managing libraries Prior knowledge in any Library Management Systems, including book borrowing, RFID etc. Ability to do cataloguing Familiarity with Dewey Decimal Classifications Ability to lead and manage a team Excellent communications skills Interested applicants, please email your detailed resume, stating your current and expected salary, date of availability and contact number to: We would like to thank all applicants for their interest but regret that only those qualified will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
