AS400 Application Infra/Environment Engineer - Banking Sector

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of AS400 systems, focusing on application infrastructure. Key responsibilities include reviewing requirements, developing CL/RPG programs with DB2 in AS400, setting up new server/apps/country environments, building interface file layouts, and integrating upstream/downstream systems using Control-M.

Unit testing, debugging, and performance testing are crucial aspects of this role, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity. On-time delivery of documentation, design, build, testing, and deployment according to work breakdown structures is also essential.

Effective communication and collaboration with production support teams are required for supporting production activities, including migrations, continuity testing, and environment migration activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This position requires proficiency in AS400 V7R4 or higher, Control-M for AS400 V9.0.19 or higher. Experience in analysing design specification and producing technical design for banking systems in AS400 is necessary. Additionally, expertise in DB2, CL, and RPG programming, as well as experience with Connect Direct setup and AS400 environment, is expected.
