Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced High-Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics design, with expertise in topology selection, circuit design, component selection, and power loss calculations. They will be responsible for the development of high-power electronics for battery chargers, including schematic and PCB layout design, creating and executing test and verification plans, and ensuring safety and certification compliance.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in power electronics design. They will also have proficiency in software such as OrCAD, PADS, and simulation tools like LTspice and PSIM.
This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team. If you have experience working with wide bandgap devices and digital and analog control methods, this is an added advantage.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing high-power electronics for battery chargers.
  • Selecting topologies, designing circuits, selecting components, and calculating power losses.
  • Designing schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Creating and executing test and verification plans.
  • E nsuring safety and certification compliance.
  • Resolving design issues promptly.
  • Liaising with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in power electronics design.
  • Proficiency in software such as OrCAD, PADS, and simulation tools like LTspice and PSIM.
  • Experience working with CC/CV charger systems and power supplies with power levels >500W.
  • Familiarity with digital and analog control methods.
  • Experience in volume manufacturing.
