Overview The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) is a collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund. ANGEL focuses on creating green digital technologies for sustainability, aligning with Singapore's Green Plan 2030 and Smart Nation Initiative. Role Description We are seeking a motivated Research Scientist to conduct advanced research in "Green Cloud Computing," focusing on enhancing data center design, operation, and optimization. Key Responsibilities Develop digital twins and optimization algorithms for integrated energy systems using programming tools like Python, C/C++. Research integrated energy system optimizations, including computing-electric and computing-cooling coordination. Supervise junior graduate students. Prepare technical reports, papers, patents, and disclosures. Collaborate with team members and engineers to develop new features. Ensure application responsiveness. Increase research output through publications. Diagnose and resolve technical issues as needed. Job Requirements PhD in Electrical Engineering, Information System, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields. Industrial experience in relevant areas is highly preferred. Ability to translate theory into practical solutions. Proficiency in Python and packages like NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
