Job Responsibilities

  • Cost Management : Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, covering materials, labor, and overheads.

  • Budgeting : Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of expenses.

  • Tendering : Prepare and issue tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors.

  • Contract Administration : Administer contracts and manage changes to project scope, ensuring compliance.

  • Cost Control : Monitor project progress and expenditures, implementing necessary cost control measures.

  • Value Engineering : Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.

  • Collaboration : Work closely with designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide financial insights.

  • Reporting : Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

  • Site Visits : Conduct site visits to assess progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and address cost-related issues.

  • Risk Management : Identify and manage potential risks related to costs and timelines.

  • Post-Project Evaluations : Conduct evaluations for final cost assessments.

Requirements

  • Education : Diploma/Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Construction Management.

  • Experience : 2–3 years as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with interior design experience (Residential & Commercial).

  • Preferred speaking Candidates

  • Skills :

    • Strong knowledge of costs, contracts, and materials in interior design.

    • Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and contract administration.

    • Familiar with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).

    • Knowledge of local building regulations (Singapore standards).

    • Proficiency in (spoken and written) to liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

  • Qualities : Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
