**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF QUANTITY SURVEYOR - MRT STATION PROJECT**
- Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure the project is within the budget.
- Liaise, coordinate and have good rapport with the team members, consultants, client, contractors, suppliers and architects
- Prepare and analyze cost comparison
- Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
- Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
- Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
- Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
- Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
- Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
- Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
- Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering
- 5 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies
- Ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
- Able to work independently, be meticulous, good analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to prepare reports in Chinese for head office in China for their review
- Able to start work within a short notice period will have an added advantage
- Good communication skills to communicate and negotiate with subcontractors
