Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and managing AV systems for various clients.

  • Lead product demonstrations and follow up on sales leads to build strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand requirements and address concerns regarding audiovisual solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and internal reports to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and ensure availability of AV equipment for demos and sales activities.
  • Manage quotations, purchase orders, and pricing negotiations with vendors to secure the best deals.
  • Represent the company at meetings and industry events to promote our services.
  • Collaborate closely with management to plan and execute AV projects from conception to completion.
  • Create and review schematic drawings and layout plans to optimize system performance.
  • Assist in procurement of AV hardware/software and ensure project readiness through thorough testing.
  • Manage project timelines, logistics, and equipment storage/transport to minimize delays and costs.
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrading, and troubleshooting of AV systems onsite to ensure seamless integration.
  • Execute electrical wiring, trunking, and basic construction tasks as required by the project scope.
  • Commission and test devices including CCTV, ELV, Bluetooth, and other AV technologies to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Provide pre-, during-, and post-project support including quality checks, technical issue resolution, and user training to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and liaise with finance for billing and costing purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, IT, or Computer Engineering is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in AV systems and technologies is required.
  • Strong understanding of video conferencing, broadcasting, signal flow, and control systems is necessary for success in this position.
  • Familiarity with video editing software, graphics, and encoding tools is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AV hardware, software, and industry trends is essential for staying ahead in this field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently are crucial for delivering results under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities are necessary for building strong relationships with clients and partners.
