Strategic Credit Risk Management Role

Job Description

This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and implementing credit risk management strategies across the region. The successful candidate will work closely with business units to achieve lending goals while maintaining sustainable credit risks.

  • Develop and implement regional credit risk management strategies in alignment with Group policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to subsidiary credit risk managers on credit policy, framework, programs, procedures, products, and systems.
  • Promote credit best practices across the region and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Support the renewal of Group credit policies and disseminate them to subsidiary credit risk managers.
  • Collaborate with subsidiary credit risk managers to achieve satisfactory credit risk review through shared regional findings and experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in credit or frontline roles with regional exposure.
  • Good understanding of small business banking products and industries, as well as portfolio/delinquency credit frameworks.
  • The ability to translate strategies into action plans and drive successful implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Effective management and supervisory skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to cultural requirements and achieve desired results.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analytics.
