Singapore Marex Group Full time

An experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for managing risk for ferrous product set within group risk appetite and defined risk limits. Junior level position with the ability to work with minimal supervision and also as part of a team. Has a thoughtful approach to their role and the impact it can make.
This role covers the commodity function within the Metals department.
SINGAPORE CITIZEN / PR ONLY
Contribute to product trading capability to support liquidity for clients.
Manage Marex market risk for product set within group risk appetite and defined risk limits whilst generating positive returns.
Work efficiently and support making efficiencies, including collaborating with data, research and analytics colleagues to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients.
Collaborate with sales/broking functions to originate hedging solutions and structured transactions, with a cross product selling mindset.
Collaborate with central operations functions which support the trading role including Operations and Technology.
Strategize to increase P&L and achieve the target set by the desk manager, requiring ongoing analysis of markets and products in the market.
Ensure compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements.
Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
Comply with the MAS Code of Conduct.
Carry out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial trading books.
Liaise with clients when called upon.
Ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
Report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
Escalate risk events immediately.
Provide input to risk management processes, as required.
The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.

Skills and Experience
Proactive mindset in keeping up to date with market research and incorporating into role efficiently.
Analytical skills, identifying opportunities and risks in a quick and decisive manner.
Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements.
Minimum 1-Year Experience working in and knowledge of a commodity product area.
Minimum 1-Year Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support commodity business lines.
Minimum 1-Year Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
Minimum 1-Year Experience in operating on electronic market making infrastructure.
Minimum 1-Year Experience in risk managing of commodity portfolios.
