We are representing a confidential client in the field of open-source humanoid robotics. The company is building a full-stack platform that includes structural frames, electromechanical assemblies, custom power electronics, embedded control systems, and machine learning integration. Their goal is to democratize advanced robotics through open designs, firmware, and model sharing. Role Overview As the Lead Electromechanical Systems Engineer , you will own the integration of electrical, mechanical, and data systems. This role will shape system architecture, manage packaging and interconnect layout, and lead prototypes and production builds. You will be instrumental in driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring robust, serviceable electromechanical design. Key Responsibilities Systems Integration : Define architecture for power/data distribution—connectors, busbars, wire harnesses, and sensors Cross-Functional Leadership : Drive alignment across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and manufacturing teams Packaging & Layout : Design enclosures, electronics modules, and cabling assemblies for space optimization and robustness Prototyping & Validation : Oversee harness instrumentation and run performance, thermal, and reliability tests DFM & Manufacturing : Coordinate with contract manufacturers to refine designs for tooling and volume production Change Management : Manage ECOs, pilot build cycles, and mentor junior engineers on integration best practices Requirements Experience : 5+ years in electromechanical product development (robotics, industrial automation, or consumer electronics)Education : BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent hands‐on experience Technical Skills Expertise in connector systems, harness design, rigid-flex/FFC/FPC layout Understanding of electronics fundamentals (MOSFETs, op-amps, microcontrollers, SPI, I2C)Proficient in CAD tools (CATIA or similar) for mechanical parts and wire routing Skilled in tolerance stack-ups, thermal management, stress and cost analysis Scripting experience in Python and C for test automation and hardware-in-the-loop setups Strong communication and cross-disciplinary alignment skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
