Description AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We tackle challenging problems with thousands of variables in the supply chain, seeking talented people to help. Responsibilities Own the design of existing data center upgrades and design solutions to add capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability. Perform design and equipment submittal review for data centers in the region. Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards. Work on concurrent projects, possibly in multiple geographic regions. Act as a technical subject matter expert for remediation projects. Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover. Job Overview As a Fleet Remediation Project Design Mechanical Engineer, you lead projects to fit out data centers, meeting evolving customer needs while expanding the fleet to hyper‐scale. You provide lifecycle support from design through implementation, using mechanical or electrical expertise. Qualifications Experience with building codes and regulations for the region. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‐critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities. Experience as a resident engineer or hands‐on design consultant. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer license. Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment. Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents. Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems design. Experience using web‐based software for calculation and data processing, mainly CFD software. Job ID Job ID: A #J-18808-Ljbffr
