Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading building operations and overseeing the facilities team to ensure effective and smooth operations.

About the Role

  • Oversee operating expenses and capital expenditure works, including renovations and building projects.
  • Sourcing and managing operations contracts, contract renewals, and related preparatory works.
  • Provide regular management reporting on CAPEX projects and operating expenses.
  • Monitor and manage performance of service providers according to established standards and key deliverables, monitor and recommend contract-related decisions.
  • Manage, maintain, and upkeep all facilities and buildings.
  • Work with the facilities management company on maintenance and repairs.
  • Schedule and prepare facilities for usage by the church for main events and ministry activities.
  • Coordinate with campuses and various heads to ensure efficient execution of large-scale or external church activities.
  • Advise on measures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop fire safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Evaluate compliance standards and government regulations.
  • Forecast, propose, and monitor necessary building operations budget.
  • Implement an effective workplace safety and health culture.
  • Develop emergency response plans and crisis management strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor the facilities team.

About You

  • A full-time call to ministry.
  • A Degree in Facilities Management, Building & Project Management, or related field.
  • Dependable, responsible, independent, resourceful, with a positive mindset.
  • A strong team player who's ready to work alongside a team that's committed to serving in the Kingdom of God.
  • A self-initiated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
  • Equipped with sound analytical, organisational, and execution skills.
  • Good project management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in computer processing and systems skills.
  • A good track record of leadership experience and relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Not satisfied with the status quo and proactively looking for ways to pursue excellence.
