Animal Care Professional Job Summary
Support veterinary staff and provide exceptional patient care as an Animal Care Professional in our dynamic animal clinic. This role involves managing the reception desk, responding to client inquiries, and collaborating with veterinarians to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
- Manage the front desk and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist veterinarians with daily tasks, such as consultations and surgery, providing vital support for diagnosis and treatment.
- Monitor anesthesia levels during surgery and adhere to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Contribute to hospital treatments, run lab tests, and maintain accurate records of patient data.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to complete diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Perform administrative duties, including managing stock and maintaining inventory records.
- Ensure the clinic remains clean and hygienic by adhering to strict health and safety standards.
As an Animal Care Professional, you will work closely with our experienced team to deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of the clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Veterinary Bioscience, or similar).
- Possess at least 1 year of experience working with animals, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Be caring, dependable, and comfortable working with animals in various situations.
- Be willing to take on supervisory roles in the future, as career advancement opportunities are available.
- Be able to work weekends on a rotating 4-day work week schedule.
