Systems Integration Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They will have strong technical skills and experience with UAV systems.

This role involves various tasks including the integration of drones hardware systems, performing equipment setup, testing, and calibration of components, as well as performing maintenance and repairs. The Systems Integration Specialist must be able to apply relevant electrical skills in preparation of components, assist in trial support, configure and test drone hardware prior to deployment, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Integration of drones hardware systems.
  • Perform equipment/engineering systems setup.
  • Perform testing/calibration of components and systems.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of drones.
  • Apply relevant electrical skills in preparation of components.
  • Assist in trial support.
  • Configure and test drone hardware (e.g., sensors, payloads, cameras) prior to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure drone systems meet operational standards.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0 to 2+ years of hands-on experience with drones/UAV systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in field environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of drone platforms such as DJI, Parrot, senseFly, or custom builds would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with flight planning software (e.g., DroneDeploy, Pix4D, Litchi, QGroundControl) would be advantageous.
