Aerial Equipment Specialist Job Description

  • The Aerial Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of UAVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Integrate hardware systems including drones.
  • Perform equipment/engineering systems setup.
  • Test and calibrate components and systems.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of drones.
  • Apply relevant electrical skills in preparation of components.
  • Support trials.
  • Configure and test drone hardware prior to deployment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and ensure drone systems meet operational standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • 0-2 years' hands-on experience with drones/UAV systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Will to travel and work in field environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with drone platforms such as DJI, Parrot, senseFly, or custom builds.
  • Knowledge of flight planning software.
