The Trade Desk is looking for an individual to join the global credit and collections team as a
Collections Specialist , responsible for managing the Southeast Asia (SEA) collections portfolio. The ideal candidate will be skilled at collaborating across functions and regions with both internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role will depend on the ability to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and knowing when to escalate matters. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager, APAC.
What you’ll do
Own collections for customer accounts in Southeast Asia (SEA), including but not limited to Singapore and Indonesia.
Partner with the APAC collections team to meet monthly collection targets, track customer payment commitments, and report on any unusual payment behaviors or potential risks identified during the monthly collections cycle.
Collaborate with the worldwide revenue and billing team to resolve customer inquiries or disputes, acting as the first point of contact.
Work closely with the internal tax team to obtain required withholding tax documents as part of the collections process.
Travel to The Trade Desk offices and customer locations in Jakarta 1-2 times per year, or as needed, to resolve issues and foster relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Who you are
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in Corporate Collections roles with experience in managing B2B customers.
Knowledge of Basic Accounting and Collections procedures.
Understanding of withholding tax concepts related to customer collections, with the ability to coordinate solutions with corporate tax teams and external vendors.
Proficient in Excel functions (V-Lookups, pivot tables).
Experience with ERP systems and collection software (e.g., Oracle, GetPaid) is a plus.
Ability to manage deadlines and adjust work schedule when necessary, while collaborating closely with teams in NA and EMEA.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and effective communication with stakeholders.
Interpersonal skills to build relationships across functions and locations.
Willingness to embrace challenges and take on responsibilities to improve processes and support the business.
Fluency in Southeast Asian (SEA) languages is a plus as this role regularly interacts with in-market clients in the region.
