Job Description
As a Test Technician , you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day RMA evaluation and testing activities. You will need to manage RMA debugging setup according to priority, resolve all setup issues, and ensure a good RMA evaluation environment.
The role involves working collaboratively with regional engineering teams on remote RMA debug sessions. A strong understanding of system-level testing and associated testing instruments/equipment is required to drive debugging progress successfully.
This position offers opportunities to significantly influence quality across the organization through interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and test RMA devices according to Engineer's instructions.
  • Support remote access requests (test setup, changing of device, testing, and collecting results) through phone, emails, and online systems.
  • Support ad-hoc/special requests like instrument upgrades and evaluations.
  • Perform Test hardware order, buy-off (new), debug, and repair.
  • Coordinate and execute equipment relocation (including incoming and outgoing).
  • Perform/coordinate PM, calibration, and repair of Test Floor equipment – ATE and peripherals, and Benches' instruments as needed.
  • Support RMA engineering bench setup, upgrade, verification, modification, and management.
  • Manage day-to-day RMA bench utilization for testing according to priorities.
  • Track and control RMA parts used in testing.
  • Track and manage HW inventory and Instrument calibration and PM.
  • Maintain RMA benches and equipment/instrument in RMA lab.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills; clear organization and articulation of information; seeks win/win resolutions.
  • Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding key components and interactions of automotive subsystems.
  • Electronic Test Equipment: Proficient with various electronic instruments: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, VNA, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Hands-On Lab Skills: Strong engineering lab management skills and ability to organize or upkeep working environment, equipment/instrument always in good working condition (equipment/instrument PM, calibration, upgrade process).

· Teamwork: Demonstrated proficiency in being proactive and taking initiative to drive issue resolution; having a teachable attitude; being a team player.

For success in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient in various electronic testing instruments, and have hands-on experience with lab management and troubleshooting. This includes a deep understanding of automotive systems, electronic test equipment, and hands-on lab skills. Additionally, teamwork and collaboration are essential for driving issue resolution and delivering high-quality results.
