As part of a small but highly capable legal team, you'll play a central role in enabling continued growth while maintaining a strong legal and governance framework. The position offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and a collaborative work culture that values creativity and "street-smart" commercial thinking. Responsibilities You'll be the deputy team legal lead on key product, partnership, and customer documentation matters, while also mentoring and supervising junior team members. Key responsibilities include: Governing all product and service-related matters (Singapore focused), leading the drafting and negotiation of customer terms, partnership, and ecosystem agreements. Partnering with tech teams and compliance team members on regulatory compliance and product innovation. Supervising 2 junior lawyers, 1 comp sec and reporting into the Head of Legal. Tweak templates, driving simplification and standardisation of legal documentation and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency. Using AI tools and contract management tools to for process efficiency. Handle external counsel management, contributing to training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives within the legal team Requirements Ideally 7-12 PQE with fintech/banking background Solid understanding of B2C fintech products, regulatory compliance matters for the Singapore market. Product counsel experience in a fintech environment is highly beneficial. Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and risk management. Skilled communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. Exposure to data privacy issues will be an advantage. Genuine curiosity and openness to new ideas, with a willingness to challenge traditional thinking and explore better ways of doing things.
