Beyond technical expertise, this position requires the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering customized solutions to meet each client's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Mentoring:
Supervise and coach Assistant Accountants, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
Provide on-the-job training to support the technical and professional development of the team.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Review and analyze monthly management accounts and supporting documentation for accuracy.
Prepare financial statements in line with SFRS and other international accounting standards.
Compliance and Taxation:
Review GST returns to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Liaise with auditors and tax agents to facilitate smooth information exchange.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a positive and seamless client experience.
Build strong client relationships through proactive and constructive interactions.
Process Improvement:
Support process enhancement initiatives to improve the efficiency and quality of client deliverables.
Collaborate with both local and international teams to address client needs.
Ad-hoc Duties:
Assist with any additional duties as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related professional qualification.
Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a senior role within an audit or accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of Singapore's accounting and tax regulations.
Advanced expertise in GST regulations and e-filing processes.
Proficient in MS Excel, with knowledge of XERO, SAP, and/or NetSuite considered an advantage.
Friendly and approachable team player with excellent communication and client service skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure.
Ambition and capability to grow into a management role over time.
