Job Opportunity for a Junior Software Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Junior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality software solutions for our clients in the financial sector.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data management and reporting to interface development. You will also interact with our international clients and business analysts in Singapore and Hong Kong, providing expert technical support and guidance.

In this role, you will have the chance to take ownership of your projects, working closely with our Product Development Team to deliver timely and tailored solutions. You will also be encouraged to take initiatives to build internal tools and promote best DevOps practices within the team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of software development principles and experience working with programming languages such as Python, NodeJS, or Java. Knowledge of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL, and JavaScript, Angular, or React is also a plus.

You will also need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in financial markets and products. Fluency in English and good communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience with the Software Development Life Cycle: product specification, design, implementation, QA, release.
  • Fresh Grads are very welcome to apply.
  • Strong proficient in programming languages, such as Python, NodeJS, or Java.
  • Knowledge of SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, or React is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen interest in financial markets. Working knowledge of financial products a plus.
  • Fluent English and good communication skills.
