Overview
As an Associate client manager, you will learn to identify which media platforms would best advertise a client’s brand or product. You will work with a Client Manager/Associate Director to learn about the media environment and how to maximise the impact of a client’s advertising campaigns through the use of a range of media. You will be responsible for media task execution under direct supervision as well as develop creative thinking with factual analysis to develop strategies to reach the target audience as effectively as possible.
Key responsibilities
Work on several projects at the same time with responsibilities that include preparation and implementation of media strategies.
Prepare by understanding the client’s business objectives and media strategy; liaise with media vendors and creative agency teams to support campaign development.
Learn and decide on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns; undertake research and data analysis using proprietary and industry resources.
Identify target audiences, analyze their characteristics and media habits; present proposals including cost schedules to supervisors and clients.
Maintain good contacts with media owners (newspapers, magazines, TV stations, websites); manage media vendors to build trust in your judgement.
Recommend appropriate media types, time spans and locations; collaborate with colleagues across the business entity with Dentsu Singapore.
Evaluate campaign effectiveness to inform future campaigns; understand full buying and booking processes and create requirement documents independently.
Oversee schedule creation, bookings, specifications, materials, financing, and post-campaign documentation; monitor the media marketplace for trends and new technologies.
Be able to respond to trends impacting clients and the business, maintaining pressure-appropriate performance in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in a marketing role or media agency, with knowledge of end-to-end planning including Digital and OOH channels across APAC or Global markets (preferred).
Commercial flair with strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills for liaising with colleagues, clients and media owners.
Literacy for writing reports and presentations; numeracy for data analysis and negotiations.
Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to work with databases, spreadsheets and PowerPoint for information management.
Capability to work effectively under pressure.
