Job Title:

Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: Develop and optimize air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, incorporating load calculations and equipment selection to ensure efficient performance.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV systems on-site to guarantee compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical guidance during construction, resolving any issues related to HVAC systems in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations adhere to local and international codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Green Mark).
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of ACMV systems into the overall building design.
  • Client Communication: Interface with clients to address their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
  • Professional Accreditation: Registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore; Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) is advantageous.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC or ACMV design, preferably within Singapore.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP); strong understanding of Singapore's SS 553, SS 530, and SS 531 standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local building codes, fire safety regulations, and BCA standards, including Green Mark Certification requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
