Job Role:
Procurement Specialist
As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality goods and services to meet the needs of our organization. This involves working closely with suppliers to negotiate prices, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project RFQ tenders in identifying and securing the best value for money from suppliers.
- Issue purchase orders for materials, components, and services as required by the business.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action where necessary to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend new suppliers to improve the diversity of our supply base.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or 3 years' experience in procurement, preferably in a similar industry.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Able to work under pressure, independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrate high levels of discipline and integrity.
